Hungarian Writer Krasznahorkai László Wins the Nobel Award in Literary Arts
László Krasznahorkai has awarded the prestigious Nobel in Literature.
This Magyar novelist was celebrated "for his gripping and visionary collection that, amidst apocalyptic terror, confirms the power of art."
Krasznahorkai has written 5 books and received numerous further writing honors, for instance the 2015 Man Booker International Prize, and the 2013 finest rendered work award in Fiction for his initial novel "Satantango", a postmodern piece concerning the conclusion of the globe.
Krasznahorkai is the second Hungarian novelist to obtain the prize after the late Imre Kertesz, who received in the year 2002.
Brought into the world in the mid-1950s, László Krasznahorkai earned recognition in 1985 when he published "Satantango", which he adapted for the big screen in 1994.
The b&w film, by Hungarian director Béla Tarr, is notable for its 7-hour duration.

Nobel committee described the writer as "a outstanding epic author in the Central Europe heritage that extends through Kafka to Bernhard Thomas, and is defined by absurdist themes and grotesque overindulgence."
The author's recent novel Herscht 07769 has been described as a major modern Deutsch novel, because of its precision in portraying the country's societal turmoil prior to the pandemic.
This is a depiction of a current village in Thüringen, Germany, plagued by societal anarchy, murder and arson.
"Gentle titan Florian is an ward, taken in by a neo-Nazi who has mentored him as a wall writing eraser.
"The leader, a Johann Sebastian Bach enthusiast, is enraged that an individual is using wolf symbol emblems across the monuments to the famed artist in their east German city."
One assessment noted it as "therefore grim from beginning to conclusion."
His most recent satirical work, Zsömle Odavan, goes back to Hungary.
The lead is 91-year-old Uncle Józsi Kada, who has a secret right to the royal seat but has taken extreme measures to disappear from the globe.
